This is an exceptional podcast. The stories of the older war vets are very telling and offer a unique view of each of their experiences. On a side note I would however place extreme caution on the glorification of war within the conversation. This seems present mostly from the younger men. And all politics aside please remember that war is a terrible endeavour.

This podcast has taught me lessons that I take to work, drives me to move up the promotional ladder and has helped me become a better partner/parent

Look forward to this podcast every Wednesday because I know it will be “good” .Long cast is best . Longer the better .Truly love hearing these life stories of lessons learned from the front line of the battle field by these warriors . Being able to hear from a guy first hand who served in WW2, Korea and Vietnam is hard to fathom . What a privledge . My wish list would be for Jocko to interview one of the “Phantoms of the jungle “ .. one of the Australian SAS troopers that Roger Heydon mentioned when he served in Vietnam . Regards Nathan

This is the real deal right here - pure inspiration for life. I listen to this podcast on my commute and it makes me so happy when I hear these gunners describe their experiences in war and walking the path. What I’m looking forward to now is putting the krill oil and joint warfare to the test since jiu jitsu (which you guys inspired me to start) has wreaked havoc on every part of my body imaginable. It’s been worth it though - I’m high on life after each class and stoked when I look around at my formidable new family. Thank you sensei Altemar at Bellegarde Dragons. And thank you Jocko and Echo for keeping things legit. Osss!

This is the only podcast where I take notes regularly, because there is so much quality content in every episode. Jocko drops bombs every time he speaks. Echo is the chill, relateable non-military guy keeping it together behind the scenes. I'm up to ep. 52 now and it just gets better. Thank you gents for delivering a top quality show every time.

A brilliant podcast from a surprisingly eloquent jocko. very direct speaking about ways to improve life and relationships through hard work and indirect approaches. Brings to life through an experienced, nuanced and interesting perspective to military history that would never have been understood by non military people. Echo has some good points but reminds me of myself when trying to explain things. Great podcast and it’s helping me to mature and see different points of view through detachment! Everyone needs a reset button for their life, ego and humility. This podcast is literally the reset button, it helps put things into perspective. Thanks guys from across the pond!!

This podcast needs to be in your library. Do it, you will not regret it. Warning, though, the subject matter can get pretty heavy sometimes just like life. Jocko with Echo Charles, the guests they sometimes host and the books Jocko chooses to review for the listeners... ...it's All Killer, No Filler.

A friend said "are you smashing Jocko podcasts ?" "I replied who is Jocko?" Now I know. This happened in a time of my life when motivation was low. I now know not to rely on motivation. I'm back on the path and a lot and more disciplined. I'm no Jocko and don't pretend to be a veteran by any stretch but have learnt heaps from his teaching and life experiences and have since applied them to my civilization life with great results. .. you don't need to be a SEAL to listen to these podcasts.

You guys put me in check. Thanks for being inspiring.

I don’t like the jocko podcast. I don’t like that discipline equals freedom, because I know that I lack discipline. I don’t like that simple is so hard, because I know I make simple hard. I don’t like that extreme ownership is critical, because I know that I am not owning critical things. I don’t like that detachment so important, because I know that I am attached to the unimportant. I don’t like the books about the darkness, because I know I don’t spread enough light. I don’t like the guests and their real-life stories, because I know that I have no story to tell I don’t like the jocko podcast and for that I am truly, truly grateful.

Essential leadership listening and great company in the traffic. Get some!

This podcast sucks. I've been a white belt in crew-sing for 8 months and feel I have plateaued. I've been grinding 3 times a week, on my couch, in my truck (four windows down, tunes up) and even on the intrawebs. I'm getting out-crewsed by guys smaller than me on all fronts.
