Listener Reviews

GOOD
This podcast has really helped me through a rough time in my life. I cannot thank Jocko & Echo enough.
It will change you
It’s terribly melodramatic to say that something like a podcast “changed my life”, but this podcast inspired me to get back in the gym, “get after it” at work and generally push myself to succeed. Superb podcast, highly recommend you give it a listen.
Awesome podcast
It’s a awesome podcast. Love listening to it. So inspirational. My little brother is ten and loves it! Really suggest it.
The Grind Sharpens the Axe
I find this podcast to be an invaluable resource. I work in an isolated northern community and lead a small team of type A personalities. The challenges of leadership are many, and it’s great to hear scenarios and challenges that I can relate to. I listen raptly, and can identify with many of the listener questions. Many are questions I have had myself. Jocko cuts through the BS to get at the heart of the problem, and offers a perspective and clarity that I would have difficulty finding otherwise.
Good Evening Echo
Fantastic podcast, thank you for doing this. Jocko is unintentionally inspiring, inviting the listener to learn from him and his guests experiences. If you don’t want to GET AFTER IT after listening to this, you haven’t been paying attention.
Fantastic podcast. Got me on the path.
A great podcast and some straight up common sense episode after episode. When I sometimes feel at my lowest, episodes seem to pick me up or snap me out of it. When I’m feeling confident it also sometimes helps let me know I’m on a good path. High recommend.
I look up to you
I am an 11 year old from Canada. Your podcast is great and has taught me a lot. I want to be like you and all of the other hero’s you interview. Since I am not American, I can’t be a Navy SEAL so I want be in the Joint Task Force. Thank you
Simply Awesome
Jocko delivers succinct, intelligent advice on leadership, communication, and being the best version of yourself. Not everyone’s cup of tea - confronting and hard-hitting on occasions - forcing you to face your own shortcomings and weaknesses - but thankful to have been introduced to this impressive character.
Good
Get some.
More than inspirational
I’ve been burning the candle at both ends for the last two weeks and have listened to the cast while working both days and nights. It’s kept meeting going and given me a push to work out again and kindled an interest in warfare and martial arts. The book readings are awesome; as an Englishman I’d never been educated in the Vietnamese and Korean wars and am grateful for the new found knowledge and respect for the US Veterans I now have who I never really knew about. Echo is an awesome foil for Jocko, as a non military man he joins up the civilian to the military man perfectly. Anyone who is from the Rogan, Peterson and Ferris stable will subscribe after your first listen - guaranteed. Thanks Jocko & Echo.
Joey
Best podcast ever.
Batman had Robin by @Salmon&Sons
Batman had Robin, The Hulk has Bruce Banner, and we’ve never heard Jocko and Echo speak at the same time. Are they the same person? It could be that Jocko has been sent from the future (Like a Terminator but more disciplined with a greater mental capacity than the iCloud (if that’s a thing I don’t know) and Echo is actually being held against his will (Echo if this is the case blink thirteen times and tell us that lightweight hoodies are pointless, when you do that I’ll message Dean Lister in instagram who can wrap Jocko up long enough for you to escape, or at least make a decent McDojo clip out of the scuffle). Although recent developments (Instagram videos where Echo uses a long barrelled stick to zap his son and the whole lightening from his fingertips thing) could indicate that Jocko is being held against his will. If that’s the case Jocko tell us that steak is no longer a viable option and I’ll get my Son wheeled over there to engage Echo in a sword fight (He’s recently got a wheelchair so he’s basically jousting everything in site) that should give you time to tie up Echo in a number of normally weighted hoodies, and for extra protection you should probably use a cord from a Nintendo controller as he seems to think those things are sacred. That being said....the podcast exercises you. Not the physical but the mental, the soft skills and the clarity and guidance that Leadership often lacks, but without the fear and turmoil of combat. Take the opportunity to Get After It. And be better. And remember - blink or renounce streak. The message to Dean is in my drafts.
Listen. Learn. Lead.
This podcast teaches you fundamental rules and guidance to sort yourself out and be more than what you are. Doesn’t matter whether you are civilian or military, listen and absorb the teachings and experience.
This is not motivation, it’s drive

It’s like Therapy!
New to podcasts in the last few weeks and I’m addicted to listening to Jocko.having recently lost both my parents in the last 12 months to brain haemorrhage and cancer, I’m finding his guests and shows therapeutic to the grieving process. My dad and brother were both British RAF and myself ex Police. Thanks and keep up the good work. It’s helping me

Help me to think like a badass
Great show on getting the army attitude to fight in life with confidence. A role model. Magnus «Classical MG» Gautestad, Conservative Awakeners
Very important for men young and old!
....not that women are excluded in any fashion or, would not benefit enormously from listening to the content of this podcast. Jocko is one of those very special humans who have the capacity to teach and inspire people to be the bests version of themselves. Thank you Jocko, you are helping me to become a better father, husband and soul.
Episode 115
Wow, cried through the entire podcast. Amazing bravery thank you beyond measure.
Amazing work
Stunning podcast, so much to be taken from every episode! Book reviews are fantastic and delivered in an unbelievably powerful way, so good in fact, I had to go back and listen from the start, so I’m still in the middle of 2016 at the moment, and playing catch-up! Thanks for making the time lads! All the best from Dublin, Ireland.
Thank you
Your podcast is very well put together, I feel like I am getting a high level education from it. I have been working out everyday, practice detachment and ownership. Thank you for this gift and mostly thank you for your service. And getting after it. And i think that’s all I got for tonight. This is Joey, Out.
Amazing - Insightful - confronting life
The best podcast for everyday life..if you need motivation, discipline and leadership this is for you. Jocko is a natural leader with a 'no excuses' approach to life. Free valuable lessons, that will question your own path in life and help you make adjustments. Insightful and motivational stories from guests who will make you grateful to be alive and question societal excesses..this podcast has significantly changed my life..Jocko is a modern day Churchill and will go down in the history books as changing leadership.
Inspiring
The most inspiring podcast ever. I first heard of Jocko from Joe Rogan. Since then, I’ve listened to nothing but Jocko. For 2 weeks straight, I’ve listened to his podcast every day. Starting at episode 1. Such an inspiring man, stories, book reviews, Q&A’s and books. Thank you Jocko for inspiring me to get after it
