Listener Reviews

Both Humbling and Motivating
The Jocko Podcast has become one of my favorite podcasts. It causes me to own up to the truth and reality of my past mistakes, (mistakes that made me ineligible to enlist. The regret still weighs heavy to this day) and challenges me to continue working hard, getting after it no matter where I am in life.I am particularly humbled by the books Jocko goes over from men who had boots on the ground and in the action. I am often moved to tears. When you listen to these stories (and ultimately read the books) it will cause you to hold your wife a little tighter, hug your kids a little longer, be Intentional about spending more time with them, and make you thankful for the brave men and women who sacrifice everything for our freedom. Thank you Jocko and EchoCharles.
Light up the path
Keeping light on “The Path” while also reminding us of the darkness lurking around the corner.
You create your Purpose
An extremely impactful podcast, always with great guests telling amazing stories.
Life Changing
According to Jocko, every problem we have in life is a leadership problem at it’s core. Jocko’s ability to extract wisdom from his guests and book reviews is phenomenal. While some of the subject matter that Jocko covers is not always easy to listen to, Jocko has a unique way of teaching his listeners valuable life lessons from even the most darkest subject matters. Looking at history and human nature, mostly within the context of war, provides Jocko with almost endless opportunities to teach us valuable leadership lessons and principles to live by. I started listening to Jocko’s Podcast in the fall of 2016 upon a good friends recommendation. By consistently listening to Jocko, I was able to come to terms with many of my own questions that I had been wrestling with that were the result of experiences I had had in war. Thank you Jocko for illuminating the path for so many people to become better. Your life has great meaning.C.B.
Stay hard!
Keep inspiring the next generation of Americans.
“What’s good for the goose, is good for the other guy. You know what I’m saying?”
EC - ep. 262 1:39:28. If you skip the supporch section, you’re missing the real wisdom.
Thank you!!
Just wanted to leave a review after years of listening. The wisdom you all share is so valuable!!

Thank You Jocko and Echo
So my first podcast experience is you two. I appreciate your time you give and the info you give it has been very helpful making me getting after it. Lost 110 pounds. Feel more self confident and I hear y’all’s voices in my head all the time now. And I am only 80 episodes in. Can’t wait to get caught up and see how it has changed me then.

Episode 274
I really enjoyed your conversation with Drago. I wish you would have asked Drago about SERE school. Did he find it easy considering his experiences in a real life communist prison? What did the instructors think of him?

War stories
I love the war stories your great
WOW!
Jocko - this is the most amazing episode ever! You are an amazing narrator! “Soldier” is now on my reading list.
Focus
I’d like to thank Jocko for taking the time and day to make these podcasts and passing on the knowledge. Not everyone has the perfect family picture, not everyone has the luxury of being helped or protected. Superman saves the world but who saves Superman? Jocko’s books and podcasts that have ultimately helped me help myself while I execute my goals to set the example for my younger siblings, for a better future and for that, I say thank you.
Making A Soldier
That was a great episode! Such a great person/soldier. Grateful to have his stories in written form and also in Jocko’s conversation form too.
Jocko....
...always intellectually stimulating!
Incredibly Impactful
Jockos books and podcast have had an huge impact on my life and my experience as a leader and follower. It also should be said that Echo is an unsung hero and that Jocko laughing sounds like someone shoveling gravel.
Never lets me down
Always amazing history, read in the most engaging way. Lessons to be learned and not forgotten. And a finale of Echo making me laugh as a cherry on top. DEF best podcast
Amazing
Thank you sir for telling these stories. They are truly amazing and keep me locked in all the way through. My dad was a Marine in Korea and he never talked much about his experiences. And to my regret I never thought to ask him to tell me. He’s long since past away so the opportunity for that is gone, for now. Again thank you for all you do and have done for us ignorant and uninformed civilians.
